Norbert Bisky has been one of Germany’s most in-demand painters for decades – and not only because prominent politicians are among his collectors. Since the beginning of his career, the artist, born in Leipzig in 1970, has provocatively engaged with references to Socialist Realism and other art-historical sources, masterfully blending styles to create vivid, charged imagery.
Bisky has maintained a close relationship with Monopol for many years, and we have repeatedly reported on his projects. His edition “Limerick” for Monopol is issued in 30 copies plus five artist’s proofs and is priced at €2,800 plus VAT.
