For his third solo exhibition "The_World_seen_through_the_algorithmic_Eyes_of Google_Earth" at the Galerie Judith Andreae, media artist Achim Mohné transforms the real as well as the virtual space of the gallery into a physically experienceable 3D artwork.
The artist is also showing his first digital outdoor sculpture: "Low_Poly_Tree" is the virtual counterpart of a young tree as it stands on the Rhine island of Grafenwerth. The sculpture, 210 x 130 x 145 cm, was transformed from digital simulation into a real object on a scale of 1:1 in a complex process and then cast from recycled aluminum. Virtuality Goes Reality.
Parallel to the exhibition, Uta Kopp & Achim Mohné present their joint long-term project REMOTEWORDS, which Bonn Opera plans to label "RW.40".
