In his works, Maximilian Kirmse (*1986) depicts a cartoonish, urban and occasionally provocative urban environment - places veiled by a blurred noise created by a pointillist painting technique, inhabited by figures wandering through their daily lives, commuting to work, waiting for the bus, crashing their car, getting a haircut or walking the dog. Those moments that inspire Kirmse's paintings are predominantly found in his district of Berlin-Schöneberg, which is his own centre of life.
Maximilian Kirmse's first publication will be published to accompany the exhibition, which will feature new paintings and drawings by the artist.
