Taubert Contemporary is pleased to present the fourth solo exhibition by Jan van der Ploeg, entitled ready or not, from 17 Sep – 30 Oct 2021. The Amsterdam-based artist is a leading representative of contemporary geometric abstraction in the Netherlands.
Van der Ploeg works at the interface of minimalist painting and architectural intervention to reinterpret the legacy of the artists and architects associated with the Dutch De Stijl (1917 – 1931). In his large-scale site responsive wall paintings and paintings on canvas, the artist energetically extends these iconic earlier experiments.
