Joachim Bandau, Ohne Titel, 2000, Aquarell auf Papier, 50 x 35,5 cm
Joachim Bandau's virtuose black watercolours have already been shown internationally. Multiple layers result in transparent surfaces, from whose compression an unbelievable depth of space develops. The exhibition is now dedicated to the almost unknown yellow works, which are not only captivating due to their complexity, but also represent an important chapter in Joachim Bandau's oeuvre, especially through their colourfulness.
In the context of the exhibition Joachim Bandau - "gelb", a publication with a text by Prof. Dr. Stephan Berg (Intendant, Kunstmuseum Bonn) will appear.
