The Berlin artist Sati Zech is exhibiting for the second time during the OPEN ART in the arToxin gallery. In her current exhibition she shows parts of the project »when do you feel a stranger? - When do you feel strange?” from the years 2020-23, during the time marked by Corona lockdowns and isolation. Feelings of strangeness to oneself, to one's own body, to the surrounding Landscape and their own thoughts are part of their artistic Research. From the beginning of her artistic work the body is an essential theme in her works. Body, mountains, toys, Songs are violently taken apart and reassembled in a new, strange way.
The theme of feeling foreign is also reflected in the title of your new works:
»The Great Trembling«, 2020/21, oil on canvas
»My brain can't find the hip anymore«, plaster, leather, 2021/23.
