SPOT ON | GUDRUN KEMSA

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Galerie Judith Andreae, the new format SPOT ON focuses on artists personally presenting their artistic work. In the course of the anniversary, we invite you to art evenings in the gallery space in Bonn and to artists' studios and off-spaces in the surrounding area. At the same time, Galerie Judith Andreae will be showing the works discussed in the talks as well as further works by the artists. For the Kick-Off event we have invited photo and video artist Gudrun Kemsa (*1961 in Datteln). Kemsa's oeuvre focuses on the dissolution of boundaries in space, the dissolution of the beginning and end of the image, and the merging of reality and appearance. City views and natural landscapes are set in motion and temporal processes are made visually perceptible. In long, flowing shots, motifs that Gudrun Kemsa draws from urban space or the pristine natural world pass by the viewers. The medium of photography and video serves as a tool for the composition of various projection surfaces for thoughts, memories and dialogues. Further Spot On Events with Regine Schumann, Rune Mields, Johannes Brus and other artists will follow.
