Mike Meiré stages works of irritating beauty and creates an energetically charged space that is deeply unsettling. The juxtaposition of high and low materials shakes our visual habits. Sculptures made of ceramics and bronze stand in front of wall works made of industrial foils. The space seems lifted out of time. The grid on the ceramic, the tear in the foil, the crease in the paper - codes everywhere that promise us truth and yet lead us astray. "The now feels like the future." (Mike Meiré)
