Mariuccia Secol (*1929) and Milli Gandini (1941-2017) were active in the Gruppo Femminista Immagine in the 1970s and used their art to protest against the role of women. In Milli Gandini's work, the cooking pot is sealed with barbed wire and Mariuccia Secol uses the cooking apron as a canvas. Her works show the radical negation of stereotypical ideas of housewifery and depict the abolition of domestic work. To this day, we use the term "care work" to discuss the considerable extra work that women in particular do without pay.
